Riverhill Himalayan Gardens opened for its summer season on 30th May. To keep in line with government guidelines they have put some restrictions in place, so now you can only enter if you have pre-booked a ticket on their website. Visitor numbers to the gardens will be limited with timed, two-hour pre-booked visits. Riverhill say “having pre-booked timed slots will allow us to restrict the numbers in the gardens and control the flow of visitors to ensure a safe, calm and happy experience for all our visitors and staff. The focus will be on exploring and enjoying the gardens and woodland, rather than events and activities where social distancing is difficult to maintain.” Season ticket holders, Historic House members and Gift Voucher holders will continue to be free but will still need to pre-book slots so that numbers are managed. Toilet facilities will be available and Otto’s Cafe at Riverhill will be open 10.30am – 5pm. Get 2 for 1 on all hot drinks at the cafe with your LoveLocal card. All the information can be found on their website. NHS staff and key workers are offered a 20% discount. They are sadly not running Folking in the Fields this year, but the strawberries will still, no doubt, be delicious.

Did you know The Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks is usually visited more than 300,000 times every year? The team miss all of their loyal customers and are appealing for donations to help keep the not-for-profit charity running. Here’s what they say: “We rely heavily on hiring out The Stag building, the spend in our bars and kiosks and kind donations and sponsorship from businesses and those in the community. The outbreak of COVID-19 means The Stag is temporarily closed, but our team is still hard at work remotely talking to customers and helping to book shows for when we reopen. We are regularly updating the website with rescheduled shows, so don’t forget to book your tickets. You can also give Gift Aid payments online while booking. We are enormously grateful for the local support we receive and, now more than ever, we need that support. We want to make sure we can continue bringing you high-quality shows long into the future. Can you help? Your donation now really will make a big difference. It will mean we can continue providing you with quality entertainment, community events and a much-loved arts venue in Sevenoaks.” Donate online here.
